ACHIEVING PROFESSIONAL EXCELLENCE AND RECOGNITION
"With your help, I am
able to organize my work better and accomplish my professional goals much
easier than I could alone. You reassure and endorse me when I begin
to doubt my own abilities. You take away my guilt feelings by encouraging
me to take care of my self, rather than satisfy everyone else."
"S" is a gifted mathematician,
now in her 40's, who was on the faculty of a minor medical school on the
East Coast. At the time she came to coaching she had successfully
balanced a successful marriage, raising three children and obtaining a
Ph.D. in Biostatistics, but felt she was now stuck in an isolated, mediocre
position with little opportunity or support from professional colleagues
to advance professionally.
With my collaboration she
came to recognize that her extraordinary abilities were being under-utilized
in her present position and that a far more prestigious medical school
nearby had just the atmosphere which would best support her efforts.
Through professional contacts, "S" let the word leak that she was interested
in making a move. Within three months she was 'recruited' and then
settled into her new environment. She continued with me, working
on selecting only research projects SHE found interesting, rather than
becoming overloaded by saying "Yes" to far too many of the requests she
was receiving for professional collaboration. She now enjoys the
prestige and camaraderie that comes with being at the top of her field.
She credits my services with
helping:
-
Organize thinking and work activity
into clearly achievable components
-
Clarify her professional goals
-
Explore options in an orderly
way
-
Maintain focus while identifying
and implementing the right course of action for her
-
Enhance networking and other
interpersonal skills necessary for her career success

FULFILLING A LIFELONG DREAM
"You motivate me to keep
moving toward my goals when I might otherwise fall by the wayside.
I look forward to my weekly doses of optimism and encouragement about my
life, gifts, possibilities, etc."
"D" is a Godly woman, now
in her 50's, who had spent most of her adult life raising her children
and helping her husband support their family while taking a course now
and then to obtain a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies. She had dreamed
for years of obtaining a master's in counseling, but life in the form of
bills, illness, etc. kept getting in the way. When she started with
me, she was working as a newspaper reporter and hating it.
Through our dialogue she
came to realize that
God was the source of her desire
to be a therapist
She had the innate gifts to
excel as a therapist: intelligence, empathy, compassion, communication,
and more
A well established, nationally
recognized seminary based in the Northeast, with one of three campuses
nearby, offered a program she could take at her own pace
She could obtain work as a freelance
writer to meet living costs
Additional funding in loans,
etc. could be arranged to pay for her graduate degree
With diligence, she could obtain
the degree in less than three years
Her income could be expected
to increase considerably after completing the degree and embarking on her
work as a therapist
"D" applied and was immediately
accepted to the seminary's graduate program in counseling. She ended
her full-time work as a newspaper reporter and became a freelance writer
to help support herself and her family. She obtained very low interest
loans to cover the educational costs of her graduate program.
Ten months after she began,
"D" successfully began graduate classes. She credits my services
with helping to
-
Clarify her life purpose
-
Explore options in an orderly
way
-
Maintain focus while identifying
jut the right course of action for her
-
Motivate her to implement planned
activity in an effective manner
"D" completed her graduate studies
cum
laude 12/00 and became lead therapist in a church-based counseling
program. Who says dreams can't come true?

Finding the Right Career
"Having you as my personal
creative strategist was instrumental in my achievement, and I thank you
from the bottom of my heart. You helped me explore and appreciate
"the real me." Reducing clutter, identifying tolerations, and rewarding
myself for my accomplishments were instrumental in building the self-confidence
I needed to move forward with my life and my dreams."
Katrina was exploring options
for a new career. Not that she wasn't successful with the one she
had, but the passion was missing. After a brief three months of our
collaboration Katrina had found the career of her dreams and the courage
to take the risk and make her dream a reality. She is now the owner
of her own business "Organizing Step-by-Step."
If you want help with getting
organized, you can do no better than to e-mail orgstepbystep@aol.com
or phone Katrina Solomon at 336-273-3456. Katrina is a member of
the National Assn. of Professional Organizers and the American Society

COPING MORE EFFECTIVELY WITH ADD/ADHD
"It's wonderful knowing
you and having you in my life. You have really turned my life around."
"K" is a talented, ambitious
young woman who sought my assistance in navigating the intricate process
of returning to graduate school in counseling. When she came to me
she was feeling overwhelmed with the multiple forms and steps required
for application to graduate school and finding the appropriate funding
source(s) which would make her continued studies possible. After
a plan of action was worked out, emphasis was placed on focusing on each
step in its right sequence, without undue concern about the steps that
were to come later.
With my encouragement and
support, "K" successfully entered her graduate studies, completed her program
with an outstanding GPA, and is now making a significant contribution in
her field. She recognizes my supportive services as a source of assistance
with
-
Focusing
-
Organizing
-
Prioritizing
-
Implementing planned activities
in an orderly fashion.

BUILDING A HAPPY, FULFILLED LIFE
"Since you came into my
life, things have really started happening and my life just gets better
and better."
Christa Wessel
Christa Wessel is a very
bright, creative young woman who had been drifting from one job to another,
with no long-term goals other than her elusive search for happiness.
When she came to me, she was totally focused on all the things that were
"wrong" in her life, particularly her job. She gave up the full-time
job that she found so unrewarding and for some time had three (count 'em,
three!) part-time jobs that she loved. At this time she works full-time
as webmaster and announcer with TheClassicalStation
heard around the world. Christa has found her own special way to
make a positive difference in the lives of many, many people as she combines
her interests in music and the internet.
With my strategic services,
she has received the reassurance that she is a worthy person who can make
a huge contribution to others and achieve a significant degree of personal
happiness. Christa continues to refine her understanding of her personal
values and exactly what activities, work and relationships reflect those
values. She has learned that happiness and joy come from within and,
even after five years of collaboration, she continues to explore her near
infinite potential for manifesting in her life that which she finds the
most rewarding and fulfilling.
